I had a rose.

This somehow became the story of the little prince. In our case it was a princes and she really cared for a rose.

Some 6 weeks ago I bought a Torrero rose root, supposed one day to become a beautiful pricky 60 centimeters rose bush. It started great giving four offsprings which a few days ago all of a sudden started dying. Little by little all of them faded giving me the ambition to continue the drama.

After the unabrupted end of the first root I have the ambition to sow another Torrero and this time to mix it with Blue Heaven.

This time I will be more careful with the watering, I promise.

P.S. The sad coincidence is that right now I am working on a website for roses.

YuccaDracaena
ChamaedoreaThe addiction to flowers started when we entered a DIY shop to buy some gadgets for Our-new apartment but we went out with three flowers, a few kilos of soil and plant pots. I took a tiny pink one, he followed with a mid-size yucca, and finally we both grabbed the dracaena. Just a week later we were equipped with soil fertilizer and yet more plants. I managed to figure out the names of two of them - two fittonias and a chamedorea.

Keep the Aspidistra Flying. Damn, we started a family.

Sleepy

A lot of changes happen lately and I was about to leave this blog to die as many other abandoned websites around the net. A few people were constantly asking me what’s going on and actually I blame on them the fact that I’m back here. Thank you!

During the past two months I moved my personal apartment twice and once I changed my office (with the burden of all broken snail mail correspondence and lost archive).

Now, being almost back and in nearly perfect shape I will try to catch up with the postings.

I promise by the end of the week to update March, April and the beginning of May.

The time is 3 am. Welcome back and enjoy the reading.

PS: Creo que la vida familiar no me hace pensar normal. Y ya han pasado solamente menos que dos meses. Nah.

The secret is in the butter

V for Vendetta was a nice movie. Nothing shocking, thrilling or spectacular. More naiive than fantastic, it came right for the brunch. In case you plan to watch it on video at home, here is a short recipie of the famous egg-fries:

V for Vendetta
4-6 servings

Use any bread you have on hand. Use a non stick frying pan.
  • 6 slices whole-wheat bread
  • 6 eggs
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
10-15 minutes preparation
  1. Butter bread slices on both sides.
  2. Cut an approximately 2 inch circle in the middle of each slice, using a cookie cutter or small glass.
  3. Place buttered bread slices on a nonstick griddle pan, preheated over medium heat.
  4. Add a bit of butter to the center of the bread, and gently crack your eggs into the whole.
  5. Sprinkle eggs with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste.
  6. When the eggs begin to set around the edge of the hole, flip.
  7. Finish cooking eggs as you prefer (over easy or over medium).
  8. The buttered bread "centers" can be grilled or toasted as well to sop up the extra yolk.
