It was my first paintball game and we did it great.

We have never played before, but in the first round we did not give a single victim, as for the second one… well, three of us were marked with paint and had to leave. The enemy used the moment of chaos and took the flag.

I shot myself in the arm in the second round, it was right after one of the judges shouted out to me to leave because my gun was marked. Now I have a tiny sully-liked swelling.

NeoBuzz

I'll tell you something, I'm addicted.

A few days ago, my best friend who moved to the US, called in the middle of the night and told me he has a tiny fluffy present for me. The present was a neopet.

Sure, I had absolutely no idea what is this, so I went to the Happy Meal on the McD's website to find out a brand new world of weird animals with strange anatomy and character.

Neopets

If you still do not have a Neopet account, hurry up to neopets.com and start playing.

Stay at Salewa

A colleague of mine bought a new tent today. The tent is Salewa Scout Tent3020, it is yellow and awesome.

We stretched it in the middle of the office, among the dull gray cubicles. It was shining and calling: let’s go to the beach.

Yes, of course that I got in. It was cozy and made me dream of different career far away from any computer-related industries.

Where do you spend this summer?

Bookstore Live

Taschen Art NowTaschen the Art of the 20th c.

Taschen turned 25 and probably you have seen their special anniversary program.

Two of the books I put in my wish list for the next month are Art of the 20th Century and Art Now.

I made a serious investment in books today, most of which boring roi-oriented ones and that is why the purchase of the day and eventually the month is the two hard-copies of Uspensky’s "Gena the Crocodile and his friends" and "The new adventures of Gena the crocodile". I know it’s childish, but after my previous blog posting I couldn’t resist. Books have atmosphere, especially the children’s.

The keychain you see on the left was found on a random search on the net. As usually when you Google for one thing, you find too many other interesting places on the net.

The keychain represents Cheburashka. Cheburashka (Wikipedia) is a tiny creature well known to anyone born before 1989 in the ex-Soviet Bloc. First published as a book by the Russian author Eduard Uspensky, later it became even more popular as an animation movie.

Cheburashka was usually accompanied by Gena the Crocodile. They sang together, lived together and made billion adventures together. In the introduction of the book "Gena and his friends", Uspensky says that when he was a boy, he had three beloved toys: a crocodile Gena, a doll Galya and a plushy beast Cheburashka. The guys from the toy-factory made Cheburashka so wicked that nobody could ever say what kind of creature it was: rabbit, dog, cat or Australian kangaroo. His parents assured him that Cheburashka is still an unknown to the science animal, which usually lives in the tropical forests. Uspensky grew up and immemorized his toys in the book of a few generations.

A story for Friday night

Once upon a time, in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle.

The frog hopped into the Princess' lap and said: "Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome Prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young Prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and setup housekeeping in your castle with my Mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so."

That night, while dining on lightly sautéed frog legs, seasoned in white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled to herself and thought: "I don't fucking think so."

The Sales-Marketing Culture Clash

This week CMO dedicated its feature to the Sales Marketing conflict and why these two just can't get along.

Admit it: You hate your sales department.

They're all loud egomaniacs whose idea of great collateral is a brochure peppered with bullet points and the word new. They don't care about the value of the brand; they just want to move boxes or close sales, long-term consequences be damned. And you know what? They don't like you, either. To sales, the marketing organization couldn't possibly know less about the business and how it operates. And marketing never has to worry about actually making numbers.

Under~

Underworld. Though I have never liked the That much, yes, this night they made me explode.

The live started four hours later than the previously announced but it worth every minute waiting.

Have you been to the Underworld's live website archive?
The picture above soon will take its place there.

Bang-bang, I shot it down

Shooting is my new hobby. A friend of mine took me to the VIP shooting range today and I found out that the feeling is great, much better and definitely more realistic than playing Counter Strike for example.

I took Ruger Cal.22 because I am still novice in that and I did it pretty well. Next week I'll be there again.

Will I see you at the shooting range?

The Sentimental Chocolate Gallery

I was intending to write about Fo-Li which I bought and tried today. It is a Serbian chocolate made of milk cocoa cream and rice. Anyway, when I started an internet search to find more about the producer (Swisslion-Takovo), I found something absolutely amusing and I can not help myself sharing it with you.

It is THE CHOCOLATE WRAPPERS MUSEUM.

There you will find chocolate wrappers from all around the world from Algeria to Zimbabwe. There are wrappers from the 20’s till nowadays. In addition, the visitor is provided with short information and links to the chocolate producers. It is incredible.

Do you see there the chocolate wrappers which you remember from your childhood?
